Every Thai Scholar will receive a free email account from Office of Educational Affairs. Your initial username will be assigned as “yourfirstname.yourlastname”, and your email address will look like “yourfirstname.yourlastname@thaischolar.org” - all in lowercase. To get your preassigned password, please contact OEA staff at 202-667-9112, 202-667-6063 or 202-667-6084.

In case you need, another username that is shorter and easy to rememer, also helps protecting your privacy, please send a request for an alias username to admin@thaischolar.org.

There are two ways to access your email account:

1) Using webmail, simply enter your username and password at the above sign-in box. If you are using a non-public computer, you may choose option “Sign me in automatically.”. So that this computer will remember your password. However, if you are using a public computer e.g. library’s, internet cafe’s, or your roommate’s etc., do NOT choose this option because other people could access your email account and do harm to your identity when you left.

2) Using email client programs such as MS Outlook and Eudora, you will have to set up a new account. These are information you will need:

         - Your email address i.e. “yourfirstname.yourlastname@thaischolar.org” or alias email
         - Your username i.e.  “yourfirstname.yourlastname” or alias username
         - Your password i.e. preassigned or your new password
         - Incoming mail server (POP) i.e. mail.thaischolar.org
         - Outgoing mail server (SMTP) i.e. mail.thaischolar.org
